Produk hewani, tidak dirinci atau termasuk dalam pos lain
Catatan.
1.-Bab ini tidak meliputi:
(a) Produk yang dapat dimakan (selain usus, kandung kemih dan lambung binatang, utuh dan potongannya serta darah binatang, cair atau kering);
(b) Jangat atau kulit (termasuk kulit berbulu) selain barang dari pos 05.05 serta reja dan sisa semacam itu dari jangat atau kulit mentah dari pos 05.11 (Bab 41 atau 43);
(c) Bahan tekstil hewani, selain bulu kuda dan sisa bulu kuda (Bagian XI); atau
(d) Simpul dan jumbai yang disiapkan untuk pembuatan sapu atau sikat (pos 96.03).
2.- Untuk keperluan pos 05.01, penyortiran bulu menurut panjangnya (asalkan akar dan ujungnya masing-masing tidak disusun menjadi satu) harus dianggap bukan merupakan proses pengerjaan.
3.- Dalam Nomenklatur ini, taring gajah, taring kuda nil, taring beruang laut, taring narwhal dan taring babi hutan, cula badak serta gigi semua binatang dianggap sebagai “gading”.
4.- Dalam Nomenklatur ini, istilah “bulu kuda” berarti bulu tengkuk atau ekor binatang jenis kuda atau lembu. Pos 05.11 meliputi, diantaranya, bulu kuda dan sisa bulu kuda, baik disiapkan sebagai lapisan atau pun tidak dengan atau tanpa bahan pendukung.

Notes.
1.-This Chapter does not cover:
(a) Edible products (other than guts, bladders and stomachs of animals, whole and pieces thereof, and animal blood, liquid or dried);
(b) Hides or skins (including furskins) other than goods of heading 05.05 and parings and similar waste of raw hides or skins of heading 05.11 (Chapter 41 or 43);
(c) Animal textile materials, other than horsehair and horsehair waste (Section XI); or
(d) Prepared knots or tufts for broom or brush making (heading 96.03).
2.- For the purposes of heading 05.01, the sorting of hair by length (provided the root ends and tip ends respectively are not arranged together) shall be deemed not to constitute working.
3.- Throughout this Nomenclature, elephant, hippopotamus, walrus, narwhal and wild boar tusks, rhinoceros horns and the teeth of all animals are regarded as “ivory”.
4.- Throughout the Nomenclature, the expression “horsehair” means hair of the manes or tails of equine or bovine animals. Heading 05.11 covers,inter alia, horsehair and horsehair waste, whether or not put up as a layer with or without supporting material.
